February 1 - March 31, 2017

We want to help you develop your play and bring it to the next level.  So often short plays are the beginning of a much larger play.  Seeing it come to life on an Off Off Broadway stage where the response is immediate and vital “informs” your play and your writing. Producers in the past have brought in short plays, and then developed them into full-length plays. Others have produced a short play so successfully here, they learn how easy a process it can be to develop a play, that they start work on a longer work. Getting your short play on its feet and on stage is the most important thing you can do in the development of your work as a playwright. It will help jump start your motivation and your career.  But to bring your play to a big theatre FESTIVAL way downtown where everything is rushed and where the pressure is high, where you have to hire technicians and stage managers in addition to casting actors, where you are rushed in and out of the theatre so that more plays can be put up that night, IS THAT GOING TO HELP YOUR PLAY? Or will it just make you feel overwhelmed?

We have a better way.
