Best performer wins a $300 cash prize!
This is a performer monologue competition where actors compete to win a $300 cash prize.
All monologues must be 4 minutes or less, with no set or a very simple set. (2 chairs, and a stool will be available if needed).
Also, there can be no internal sound cues in your monologue. It needs to be totally actor self-contained.
(No phone calls cues etc etc.)
YOU CAN PERFORM ANY MONOLOGUE YOU LIKE AS LONG AS IT IS UNDER 4 MINUTES.
HOW THE VOTING WILL WORK
For each show/performance series, there will be a minimum of 16 performers presenting their monologues. The Audience will be given a ballot and they will rate the THREE BEST performers from 3 to 1.
3 is the VERY BEST, 2 is SECOND BEST, and 1 is THIRD BEST.
After the performances on Friday February 27 at 6:30 pm and 9 pm we will add up the points and the 10 highest scoring performers from each performances series (6:30 pm and 9 pm) will return on Thursday March 5 for 1 performances at 6:30 pm.
(So 20 performers will compete in the Finals.)
The one performer with the highest points on Finals Night March 5 at 6:30 pm, will win the $300 cash prize.
The voting is all crowd sourced so that it is fair to all. The performer with the most friends will not necessarily win because of the graduated voting from 3 to 1 for the top three performers.
(And there is no "panel of experts" voting for their friends.)
Each actor will receive 1 performance, and 1 more if they move on to the Finals.
ALL PERFORMERS MUST BE AVAILABLE for the dates and times below.
(No exceptions if you are going to participate.)
