YOGA FOR ACTORS

In this four week session, you will learn:

  • Specific Yoga postures and breath practices to open up your "emotional blocks" so that you can easily access strong emotions. Often we hold strong emotions and memories in our bodies and over time, they limit our ability to access these emotions as an actor. This class offers specific Yoga postures, physical exercises, and breath practices to over time, safely release these emotional blocks.

  • How alignment and flexibility specifically help create "Charisma."

  • Specific Yoga techniques to help you relax and "get into character" before performance.

  • A personal Yoga practice to help you stay strong, open, relaxed and focused.

Course is taught by Ken Wolf, Artistic Director Manhattan Rep and Certified Yoga Teacher (BeYoga 2003)  He has been studying and teaching Yoga for over 30 years, and working privately with individuals with emotional blocks, PTSD and more.
